Español: Vista general del Castillo de Zafra, Campillo de Dueñas, Guadalajara, España. El castillo se construyó a finales del siglo XII y comienzos del XIII sobre una formación saliente de areniscas, donde previamente hubo también forticaciones visigodas y moras que cayeron en manos cristianas en 1129. El castillo era de importante valor estratégico al considerarse una fortaleza practicamente impugnable situada en la frontera entre territorio cristiano y de ocupación musulmana. El castillo nunca pudo ser conquistado y resistió los ataques del ejército del rey de Castilla en el siglo XIII. Con el final de la Reconquista a finales del siglo XV perdió su notoriedad militar.
English: View of the Castle of Zafra, Campillo de Dueñas, Guadalajara, Spain. The castle was built in the late 12th or early 13th centuries on a sandstone outcrop and stands on the site of a former Visigothic and Moorish fortification that fell into Christian hands in 1129. It had considerable strategic importance as a virtually impregnable defensive work on the border between Christian and Muslim-ruled territory. The castle was never conquered and was successfully defended against the King of Castile in the 13th century. The successful completion of the Reconquista at the end of the 15th century ended its military significance.
Polski: Widok na zamek Zafra w Campillo de Dueñas, w prowincji Guadalajara, w Hiszpanii. Zamek zbudowano na przełomie XII i XIII wieku na wychodni piaskowca, w miejscu dawnych fortyfikacji Wizygotów i Maurów, które wpadły w ręce chrześcijan w 1129 roku. Miał duże znaczenie strategiczne jako praktycznie niezdobywalna twierdza na granicy między terytorium chrześcijańkim, a terytorium okupowanym przez muzułmanów. Nigdy nie został zdobyty, w XIII wieku oparł się atakom Ferdynanda III Świętego, króla Kastylii. Stracił znaczenie militarne pod koniec XV wieku w wyniku pomyślnego zakończenia rekonkwisty.
Čeština: Hrad Zafra ve španělské provincii Guadalajara byl postaven na konci 12. nebo na počátku 13. století a po dlouhou dobu tvořil viditelný předěl mezi křesťanským a muslimským teritoriem v Andalusii.

Il castello fu costruito tra il XII e XIII secolo dopo che la precedente fortificazione dei Visigoti e dei Mori era stata conquistata dai cristiani nel 1129. Per la sua posizione ebbe una considerevole valenza strategica per la difesa del confine tra i territori controllati dai cristiani e dai mussulmani e solo dopo la Reconquista perse di importanza militare.
